Tea Party

Jordan’s class had a “proper” tea party. The girls wore dresses (the teacher supplied hats and gloves) and the boys wore shirts, slacks and ties. We learned to proper order of tea (muffins or scones, sandwiches and sweets—though a woman in Dover said that they actually do sandwiches first and muffins or scones second—she said it may be a regional thing…how are we Americans to learn proper tea rules if they are truly REGIONAL?? Urgh). After tea, the “authors” read their stories and signed their autograph book (the children stayed in their seats and the parents moved from child to child-- ) very sweet!
