Afternoon fun...

While Karen was sleeping, the four of us traveled to Sister Betty's home to see her harps. She is so kind to allow 3 young children in her home to pluck her harp's and play on her piano. After the visit we decided to travel over to the tulip fields while traffic was at a slow...

A Flower Princess...

The funky Tulip dance...

A Rose amidst a field of Tulips!

When the cat is gone....

Karen was gone for the week, in Utah for a couple of days, doing some other things, etc... Having already proved to myself that I could keep the sink clean while she is away (see earlier posts) I chose to play :) with the children. Play is a loosely interpreted word as the probable bad point is that it was while they were sleeping. Unsure if that counts as "quality" parent time or not, but it was fun!

This one is of Seth, taken at about 10:30 p.m. When I had put him to bed earlier he requested a cloth to cover his eyes. Odd, as he always needs a light on; with a cloth covering his eyes - well, things would be pitch black. So, once he covered his eyes, and had fallen to sleep - I snuck in, tickled his ears and nose, fiddled with his lips, and generally had a fun time watching him scratch and move around. Then, I took the picture. Beauty, eh? -

Uh.... ma'am, you missed a spot.

Saturday I asked which of my 3 children would like to assist in washing the car. Jordan decided she was the one... the only one. So, donning her rain boots, number 15 of 33 in her "princess" dress collection, and her crown - she assisted in washing the car. I use the term assisted loosely - she was more of a participant and order giver (to her father) as to how the job was to be done, and what her role would be, and what exactly he was to do... and when! I told her to keep up that personality... if she does, she can stay single for...well, uh... a while! And, I am fine with that...

Hail! Hail!

Strange weather up here brought hail the last couple days. It was so bad we got pelted at the street fair. Weird for April 19th weather, but it got better today... we got snow!

Al Gore makes millions on Global Warming... we play in his folly... called snow...

Yes, April 20th - Mount Vernon, WA - land of rain.... We capture pictures of Snow Princesses and Snow Angels. The green specks in the snow man are from the lawn... we mowed it yesterday!

My Lovely, Kind, Wonderful - Wife!

Karen needs glasses....

Karen needs glasses for reading, which translated means Seth and Jordan "need" glasses.

After Church on Sunday!

Kailey and Seth wanted to have their pictures taken, so Karen obliged. Aunt Kristen wanted Easter dress pictures, so Kailey obliged - Jordan?!

Lange's Pony Farm

This past week, April 11th, Jord got the chance to go with her pre-school class and ride ponies!

Alan assigned blogging task

Today, Sunday March 30, 2008. Most of the Brock family is sick, Karen says it is time to update the blog... nothing much has been added for many months. Feeling the pressure from her sisters, she assigns me, Alan, the task. 11 entries, all in the same day... some sort of record!

You see she is in bed with the flu... most of us are still suffering from this last week of illness. So, we are keeping the Sabbath by updating our online journal. What I have found is that if you are not good at keeping a journal, you can keep a blog - which is kinda like keeping a journal. Which is kind of something we have been asked to do. So, this may be my only attempt at "blogging" I may resign the post once she is better. Regardless, how many men do you know "blog"? I think I can take great pride in saying that I am the first with my brothers, too bad I didn't win money for that one (which of course would be betting or a wager and that wouldn't fit with keeping the sabbath holy, so it is probably better that I didn't win money). And probably the first with my brothers-in-law, which makes me first! Kind of like trendsetting....

What would Karen Brock do? I'm responsive, are you?

These first several pictures which are posted result from a group, a strange group, in Logan Utah. Karen does some consultation with these people (school district) she calls her work "Responsive Schools" and somehow she has... well you know how people can "smoke their own dope?" Somehow Karen got them to smoke her's, rather than their own..... Notice the bracelets, this group of people had them made and presented one to her. Karen brought one home for me...... yeah, right! Can you hear it? "Hey, Brock, what is that on your wrist...? "
